Welcome to Dolphin Club Escape from Alcatraz
This is the original ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ! Our 43rd year. This race is one of the oldest traditions in the sport of triathlon.
It is hosted by the Dolphin Swimming and Boating Club for members of the Dolphin Club and The South End Rowing Club in San Francisco, CA.
The course is: Alcatraz swim to Dolphin/SE beach (~1.5 miles), bike ride to Old Mill Park in Mill Valley (15 miles), then run the Double Dipsea to Stinson Beach and back to Old Mill Park (~14 miles).

Race day Sunday September 14, 2025 was clear of clouds and free from rain or heat. The mild weather was perfect for 63 racers and one relay to enjoy the day injury free.

The 46th race will be Saturday September 12, 2026. First day to register will be July 1, a link will be uploaded. We will advertise this event on the Dolphin Club and South End Club listservs.
